The Mine Planning Engineer is an integral part of the Technical Services team, and will be responsible for, Mid to long-term planning, Project development work and Life-of-mine design.
 

Unique challenges in this role that will enhance your career experience: Planning for OC mining over extensive underground workings, Environmental management being integral to the mining processes, Extensive history of the mine, Mine closure of older mining operations
 

To be a successful applicant, the following skills will be regarded: 2-5 years open cut experience in planning/scheduling, Tertiary qualification in Mining /Civil Engineering or equivalent, Minescape or Mine Design software, Desire to work in a team, Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the operation.
